WHITE WINES
PINOT GRIS 2014
This Pinot Gris displays aromas of tropical fruit, melon and delicate orange blossom, leading to ripe stone fruit and melon flavours on the palate with a soft balanced finish.
2011 AMBER - VQA - Vancouver Magazine "Best Rich White Wine"
This special blend is named after our daughter Amber. The jasmine and rose petal aromatics of Viognier and Gewurztraminer combine intriguingly with the citrus, grapefruit and anise notes of Pinot Gris. Aromas of orange, cinnamon, and melon add further complexity. The palate is dry combining apple, pineapple and apricot flavours with lemon and orange notes. The finish is long and complex with essence of gingerbread and minerality.
2013 GEWÜRZTRAMINER
2013 VIOGNIER
Alluring aromas of orange blossom, jasmine, white peach, mango, pineapple and honey. The palate is full and rich with exotic tropical fruits, baking spices, apricot, peach and honeysuckle notes all delicately balanced with refreshing lemony acidity.
The complex flavours pair well with mild Indian curries or maple glazed BC sockeye salmon.
RED WINES
2012 ZINFANDEL
Our 2012 Zinfandel captures jammy blackberry and spicy black pepper flavours, demonstrating the classic and distinctive characteristics of Zinfandel. Oak aging rounds out the body adding a rich clove and cinnamon element.
Pair with a slow-roasted smoked pork hock or a Moroccan spiced lamb burger.
2012 MERLOT
A complex nose packed with a diverse range of red and blue fruits including damson plum, mulberry and blueberry along with pretty violet notes. The palate is medium in body with crisp refreshing acidity, fine-grained tannins and vibrant and intense flavours of cassis, cherry, raspberry, dark chocolate and roasted herbs with a long, lingering mineral finish.
Pair with roasted local venison with a red wine peppercorn sauce.
2012 CABERNET SAUVIGNON
A deep ruby colour with aromas of blue and black fruit, cassis , espresso and complexity in the form of tobacco and licorice with a hint of cedar and spice.
Well extracted, richly layered, with chewy tannins and a luscious long finish.
Pair with braised lamb shanks or rotisserie duck with a red wine cherry reduction.
2012 BLACK SHEEP BLEND
55% Cabernet Sauvignon 34% Merlot 11% Malbec
This luscious wine from Y&W has aromas of ripe raspberry and bold black cherry, complemented by hints of dark chocolate, tobacco, espresso and spice. Richly layered with fine-grained tannins conveying gorgeous fruit through a long finish.
